Ocean NanoTech’s HiSur Amine Beads (1 µm) are now available in an easy-to-use kit format to enable researchers to conjugate antibodies, proteins, peptides or other biomolecules of their own choice to these magnetic beads. Attribute to the very large surface area (about three times larger than that of the MonoMag Amine Beads at the same size (1 µm)) and unique surface coating of the HiSur Amine Beads (1 µm) as well as the specifically formulated conjugation buffers, the resulting conjugates exhibit superior binding capacity and low non-specific binding. The kit contains sufficient reagents & components for performing at least 5 conjugation reactions. Briefly, the magnetic beads are activated using SMCC (succinimidyl 4-(N-maleimidomethyl) cyclohexane-1-carboxylate) followed by conjugation to thiol groups that are present on the target protein/ligand. The recommended protocol has been used to successfully conjugate bovine serum albumin, streptavidin or immunoglobulin to these magnetic beads.
